The Archives on the KBS Special Live Broadcast
Finding Dispersed Families

Inscribed on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register, the KBS Special Live Broadcast “Finding Dispersed Families” was the world’s largest attempt to reunite families separated by war. The program led to the historic first South-North family reunions, contributing greatly to ease the tension between the two Koreas created by the Cold War. The Archives comprise significant documentary heritage that has informed the world of war atrocities and the horror of the South-North division, thereby stressing the unwavering importance of human rights and peace.
